## FIELD FLEET AND VEHICLE SAFETY CHECKLIST

## 1. Daily Vehicle Pre-Start Inspection (B.O.W.A.S.)

</div>- <span>Battery</span>: Check for tight terminal connections, cleanliness, and clean mounting brackets.
- <span>Oil &amp; Fluids</span>: Verify proper levels for engine oil, brake fluid, coolant, and windshield washer fluid.
- <span>Water &amp; Belts</span>: Inspect radiator water levels and check drive belts for cracks or improper tension.
- <span>Air &amp; Tires</span>: Check tire pressure (including the spare tire) and ensure lug nuts are tight with visible tread.
- <span>Signal Lights</span>: Test all headlights, brake lights, hazard pointers, and reverse warning alarms.

</div>- <span>Fire Extinguisher</span>: Confirm a fully charged, unexpired ABC dry chemical extinguisher is mounted securely inside the cab.
- <span>First Aid Kit</span>: Verify the vehicle's medical kit is fully stocked with bandages, antiseptics, and burn creams.
- <span>Reflective Triangles</span>: Ensure at least two early warning device (EWD) triangles are present under or behind the seats.
- <span>Basic Tool Kit</span>: Check for standard emergency tools including a hydraulic jack, tire wrench, and jumper cables.

- <span>Cargo Netting</span>: Secure loose materials, splice enclosures, and fiber drop coils inside the trunk using cargo nets.
