TECHNICIAN STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SOP)
1. Pre-Deployment Check
PPE Verification: Ensure all required Personal Protective Equipment (Hard hat, safety vest, safety shoes, and safety glasses) are worn correctly.
Tool and Equipment Audit: Verify that all specialized tools (Fiber splicer, Optical Power Meter, ladders, hand tools) are functional and complete.
Job Briefing: Confirm assignment details, location data, and specific customer requirements before departure.
2. On-Site Safety and Execution
Hazard Assessment: Scan the workspace for potential dangers such as live electrical hazards, unstable poles, or structural risks.
Workzone Setup: Deploy safety cones and warning signs around the work area, especially when operating near active roads or pedestrian lanes.
Ladder and Fall Protection: Secure ladders at a safe angle and ensure they are stable. Always utilize a safety harness or safety belt when working at heights.
3. Post-Deployment and Housekeeping
Site Cleansing: Remove all workspace debris, including fiber shards, cable trimmings, and packaging materials.
Inventory Control: Account for all tools and remaining materials before leaving the site.
Reporting: Submit the completed work order and clearance report to the supervisor.
